Clearwater Mall Redevelopment –Pinellas County, FL
Clearwater Mall is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 19 North and Gulf-to-Bay Blvd in Clearwater, Florida, and sits on 75 acres. FDC assisted the developer Sembler Company in a total demolition of a traditional enclosed mall replacing it with a new open-air lifestyle center anchored by Target, Lowe’s, Costco, Ross, David’s Bridal, and multiple restaurants including Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, Jimmy John’s, and Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
Florida Design Consultants (FDC) was engaged by Sembler Company as the engineer of record to create all facets of the civil engineering design, including infrastructure, stormwater management, utility design, and transportation engineering. FDC also assisted the developer in obtaining approval of a site plan, preliminary plat, and final plat through the City of Clearwater. FDC provided survey services including boundary and topographic surveys, as well as construction stakeout and observation during the development of the project.
